Gearing Up for the 14th General Election
Akademi JPRP or APK has organised two election training which was held simultaneously in Kuala Lumpur and Port Dickson on 29th – 30th April, 2017. The Election Training for Volunteers, 29th – 30th April, 2017 was held at Dewan Restoran Amjar, Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur. The training was aimed towards empowering the volunteers on election knowledge and skills. It was attended by 45 participants.
Four 4 trainers from APK were involved in handling the training which cover various topics on election i.e. Election Management, SPERA and field work on meeting voters which was held on the second day. YB Nurul Izzah Anwar, the Lembah Pantai MP and also Director of Election Depatment and Keadilan Vice President officiate the training. Simultaneously, the Parliamentary Election Workshop and Retreat was held in Wangsa Maju (Port Dickson) 29th – 30th April, 2017. The training was held at Corus Paradise Resort, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. It was attended by 83 participants comprising of party members from three parties i.e. Keadilan, Amanah and Bersatu.
The training was aimed toward fostering team works between various political parties and also equipped them with the latest knowledge and skills on election management. Four trainers from APK were involved in handling the training. Topics covered are Team Building, Election Management and SPERA. MP for Wangsa Maju i.e. YB Dato’ Dr Tan Kee Kwong officiate the training and stays through-out the two days. Two State Reps from Keadilan i.e. YB Chai Tong Chai, ADUN for Chuah and YB Ravi, ADUN for Port Dickson were also invited. They have shared their views and experience related to the preparation for the upcoming 14th General Election.
