This replication seminar is based on the modules and contents of seminar on “Politics and Civil Society: The Role of Political Parties and NGO”, which M. Saedi have attended at IAF Gummersbach, Germany in 2009.

Participants were given the over view on politics, civil society and political party. This session was very crucial as to provide the right understanding on the meaning, similarity and differential of the latter.

Over lunch was the Luncheon Talk - Young Professional with Nurul Izzah Anwar. It was attended by more than 70 people. Halfway through lunch, participants were shown a video montage on the chronology of YB Nurul Izzah Anwar early involvement in Reformasi movement and eventually lead to her being elected as a Member of Parliament. It was the followed by her key note address which encompassed her views on the roles of youth in nation building, challenges and current political issues. The Q&A session was very enlightening with lots of subjects being raised by participants.

The last session was on democracy and nation building. Participants were involved in an active discussion on the principal of democracy and democratic practices in Malaysia.
